RC923 M-485 Blue Grey

High quality lacquer based paint with a chemical formula and color accuracy superior to other brands in the market. Flows smoothly in an airbrush; adheres to the surface and dries perfectly with a soft finish. Holds firmly all kind of weathering products. May be diluted with AK701/AK702 High Compability Thinner or other thinners intended for lacquer based paints.

Used for painting upper surfaces (and undersurfaces of wing folding parts) of US Navy & USMC carrier-based aircraft finished in the Blue Grey/Light Grey scheme from mid-October 1941 until January 1943. This scheme was also ordered for all US Navy shore-based aircraft in February 1942.
